Meet Victoria Yoder

Owner, Principal Designer

Welcome!

Before anything else, I am a Christ follower, a wife to my incredible marathon-running husband, a mom to two talented, creative daughters, as well as a grandma to our grandson, and another that’s on the way!

My professional interior design expertise has been forged over decades of on-the-job experience, backed by a design degree, continuing education courses, and endless research.

I grew up in a creative family. I began “remodeling” the room my sister and I shared to bring comfort and peace, since we moved around a lot.

After marrying my husband, I developed a knack for designing on a budget. Friends and family began to ask me for help with their homes, weddings and events.

As my family grew and we purchased our second home, we tackled a complete gut and remodel of our first floor. Again, friends and family took notice and requested my help.

As the wood flooring business my husband runs grew and he began to be involved with trade organizations, my contacts within the building and remodeling industry grew, as well.  However, at that time, I continued to work privately for people without officially starting a business.  In 2020, when a friend reached out to me to take on a large commercial project, I finally decided it was time, launched my own business, and Atmosphere was born.

As my design aesthetic and experience as a designer grew, several other factors informed my perspective.

  • I had previously worked in an award-winning kitchen for a time, which gave me extra insight into space planning and best practices for working in a kitchen and hosting gatherings.
  • My husband and I come from families with Amish and Mennonite backgrounds. We have a long-standing, naturally built network of great contractors, vendors and exceptional craftsmen with whom we work in those communities.
  • My husband and I are also avid travelers. This gives me the opportunity to see designs before they hit our area, and to be inspired by how various styles are implemented regionally.

What began as something I did as a young girl to bring peace into my own spaces during transitions, continues today as a service to others. It’s my passion to help people create a home that’s not only a safe haven, where they can refresh and retreat from the world, but as a place that hosts the ones they love, in beautiful comfort and style.
